چکیده

This article examines the possibility of measuring lift maintenance through analysis of used hydraulic oil. Hydraulic oils have proved to be a reliable indicator for the maintenance performed on elevators. It has also been proved that the end users or the maintenance personnel do not always conform to the instructions of the elevators’ hydraulic machine manufacturer. Furthermore, by examining the proportion of the metals, an estimation of the corrosion and the wear resistance of the joined moving parts can be observed. Additionally, the presence of chlorine and calcium in hydraulic oils demonstrates their function in a highly corrosive environment.

Evaluation of Catalytic Effects of Metal Oxide Nanoparticles on Pyrolysis of Used Lubricating Oil

Pyrolysis is an applicable method that has been widely used to recover hydrocarbons from Used Lubricating Oil (ULO). However, large-scale application of this approach has been limited by its noticeably energy and time consuming nature. In the present research, it has been attempted to modify the energy and time requirements of ULO pyrolysis using the catalytic effects of metal oxide nanoparticl...

Influence of Maintenance Intervals on Performance and Emissions of a 192 kWel Biogas Gas Otto CHP Unit and Results of Lubricating Oil Quality Tests—Outcome from a Continuous Two-Year Measuring Campaign

In the present work, we focus on long-term and permanent measurements of approximately two years on a 192 kWel Gas Otto CHP (combined heat and power) unit at a full-scale research biogas plant. In detail the influence of 600 h and 1800 h maintenance intervals on electrical efficiency consumption and exhaust gas emissions such as NOx and CO have been studied under real life conditions. Lubricati...

Life of Lubricated Machines

Seventy to eighty five percent of failures and wear problems in lubricated machines are caused by oil contamination. Contaminants shorten the life of all machines, especially those with fine finishes and clearances operating at high speeds and temperatures. Examples are rolling and sliding bearings, gears, vane and piston hydraulic pumps, Maintaining clean oil provides the benefits listed in Ta...
